UAB SOMINTA is a small family business company that has been delighting customers with sustainable faux leather handbags and backpacks since 1996. The company not only occupies a stable position in the market, but also has gained experience and trust of business partners during its long years of operation.
Back in 1987, the owners of the company – a husband and wife, immersed themselves in the fashion world. They were the 13th to receive a business license in Klaipeda. Clothes were then sewn for foreign markets. In 1996, the company UAB Sominta was established, which began sewing as soon as faux leather got into their hands. During the whole period, the company’s products were exported to Denmark, Belarus, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Germany and Russia. The mission is to meet the needs of customers, therefore the handbags are not only stylish and in line with modern fashion trends, but are also sustainable and made of quality materials.
Currently, the company employs 45 people who truly love what they do, produces women’s handbags and backpacks, and sells products not only in Lithuania, but also in other Baltic countries. The company’s goal is to meet the needs of clients, so the handbags are not only stylish and in line with modern fashion trends, but are also made of high-quality, sustainable materials that ensure longevity.

UAB Sominta has also successfully invested in export development, used European Union support funds and participated in international exhibitions, implemented export development projects in foreign markets. Such a solution was not unexpected, as our company is purposefully focused on wholesale production. UAB Sominta will continue to expand its export volumes and look for the most suitable solutions, and is allowed to enter next month.
